WHERE WE WORK

Amparo International is a Canadian based Non-Profit Organization working in the South Atlantic Autonomous Caribbean Coast Region (RACCS) of Nicaragua.

In collaboration with the Indigenous Territorial Government of Tasbapauni, we have constructed and operate a school on traditional Miskito lands. The school serves over 250 students from kindergarten to secondary grades. In addition, we run a secondary education program for adult students.

Colegio Amparo is located in
El Mango, a remote community on the Kurinwás River in the Wawashan Reserve. The school serves a total of 8 communities along the river, hundreds of families, and an area population of over 5,000 people.
