WHERE WE WORK
Amparo International is a Canadian based Non-Profit Organization working in the South Atlantic Autonomous Caribbean Coast Region (RACCS) of Nicaragua.
In collaboration with the Indigenous Territorial Government of Tasbapauni, we have constructed and operate a school on traditional Miskito lands. The school serves over 250 students from kindergarten to secondary grades. In addition, we run primary and secondary education programs for adult students.

WHY EDUCATION?

DID YOU KNOW THAT 250 MILLION CHILDREN ARE OUT OF SCHOOL WORLDWIDE?
Globally, 16 % of children and youth (covering primary to upper secondary) are not attending school. In Latin America and the Caribbean, 9.7 million children are not in school. Many of these kids are not in school due to lack of access, especially in rural and remote areas of developing countries. These children are unable to equip themselves with skills for their futures. Thus, the cycle of poverty continues...
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
